Job Description




As a Security Officer - Government Patrol - Full-Time in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal, you will have the opportunity to help create a secure and welcoming environment at a government location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service. You will play a key role in supporting a caring culture that puts people first, working as part of a team that values integrity, reliability, and agility. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any security-related irregularities, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, or unauthorized persons on the premises.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and/or government personnel as required.
  • Document all activities, incidents, and/or irregularities according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
