Position Summary: * We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to provide healthcare services using x-ray energy procedures to assist in the diagnosis or treatment of patients. This role may include performing medical imaging techniques for mammography and routine exams, ensuring accurate imaging for interpretation and/or intervention by a licensed practitioner. Key Responsibilities: * Perform all radiographic examinations in assigned work areas, including bone density, following established protocols. * Ensure proper patient positioning, equipment setup, and selection of appropriate image receptors and techniques. * Utilize digital information systems such as Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS for accurate documentation and image transmission. * Verify patient identity and requisition details to ensure consistency with ordered exams. * Apply appropriate patient care and assess conditions essential for successful completion of procedures. * Review patient charts for exam referrals/orders and document patient history per policy and ACR standards. * Maintain quality assurance records as required by regulatory and credentialing bodies. * Ensure proper anatomical orientation and identification on all images. * Monitor image transmission to PACS and verify completeness of documentation. * Perform mammographic and routine procedures according to department protocols. * Adhere to radiation safety standards for patients, staff, and self. * Maintain inventory of supplies and keep work areas neat and organized. * Demonstrate professional and courteous behavior toward patients, physicians, and colleagues. * Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Graduate of an AMA-approved program in radiologic technology. * Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). * Texas Medical Board certification as a Medical Radiological Technologist (MRT). * Current CPR and AED certification required. * Mammography certification preferred. * Minimum of 2 years' experience in general diagnostic radiology; mammography experience is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX 78731. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
