Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrol in Mexia, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while responding to situations as needed. This is an armed position, requiring professionalism and a commitment to upholding the values of Allied Universal-agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity-while working as part of a caring, people-first team.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations as necessary.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate judgment and protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior and/or unauthorized individuals, and report findings according to established procedures.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft and other criminal activity within the retail environment.
• Interact with staff, visitors, and customers in a professional manner while upholding Allied Universal standards.
• Complete required reports and documentation related to incidents, patrols, and daily activities as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
• Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearm in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
