Vantor is seeking a talented Observability Software Engineer with experience monitoring the performance and health of a large-scale engineering platform; including logging, tracing, alerting, and visualization. You will be part of the Monitoring, Observability, and Usage team. This team is responsible for monitoring, alerting, and logging the health of our Platform. In this role, you will have the freedom to design and engineer solutions to drive innovative, modern approaches to meet our user needs and customer SLA requirements. A successful candidate will be a passionate developer that embraces modern software development and insists others do as well. You will introduce automation and evangelize new tools and processes within a collaborative team environment.You will assist our engineering teams with monitoring, alerting, and logging the performance of our APIs. You will build internal dashboards and solutions, conduct code reviews, and communicate statuses in daily stand-ups within an agile workflow. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Executive Leadership to ensure we meet our SLOs and customer SLAs. This position is located in Westminster, CO or can be performed remotely. Candidates must be U.S. citizens. - Commit code to Git repository using best practices and perform Pull Request reviews - Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning - Minimum of 3-7 years of related experience - Experience with Grafana or similar observability software - Experience with internal system logging (ELK or similar) - Experience developing REST API endpoints - Experience with service-oriented and microservice architectures - Familiarity with Jenkins - Familiarity with ArgoCD and Helm or similar - Familiarity with query languages (SQL, PL/SQL) and databases (relational, NoSQL, and graph databases e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Neo4j) -Strong written communication - Highly focused self-starter that likes solving problems - Passion for learning and teaching new technical skills - Experience with geospatial software and domain (ArcGIS, QGIS, GeoServer, CQL) - Experience with raster data (imagery, basemaps, mosaics) - Experience working on a geographically distributed team Pay Transparency: In support of pay transparency at Vantor, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings. The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range. * The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $102,000.00 - $170,000.00 annually.For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
