Job Description




As a Security Officer - Education Bike Patrol Unarmed in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas at an education location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment. You will conduct regular patrols, remain visible to provide a reassuring presence, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergencies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns.
  • Assist in controlling access to facilities by verifying credentials and providing directions or information as needed.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, hazards, and unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with campus personnel and local authorities as needed to address security-related issues and emergencies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and site-specific drills to stay prepared for various situations that may arise in an educational environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Able to ride a bike.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
