Overview:

Responsible for assisting physicians and nurses in providing patient care to clinic patients under the supervision of physicians/nurse practitioner and the leader.

Medical Assistant Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.

  • Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

  • Preferred Experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a physician's office.

• Certified Medical Assistant:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.

  • Certification: Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA; EMT and/or Paramedic are also accepted). Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
