Occupational Summary The Healthcare Facility Security Director collaboratively develops, implements,and monitors security processes in the medical environment that are consistent with regulatory and industry standards, and Duke University Campus Police Department (CP), Duke Health System and medical facility leadership expectations. This position reports to the Director, Health System Security within the CP. This position is expected to be available to monitor and manage significant security incidents at the assigned medical facilities. Work Performed

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $78,161.00 to USD $156,319.00. Minimum Qualifications Education Work requires communications and analytical skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelors degree program or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Requires a valid North Carolina Drivers License. Preferred Education and Training: Extensive specialized experience and certification in healthcare security management through the International Association of Healthcare Safety and Security (IAHSS) and with knowledge of the Clergy Act, HIPAA, CMS and Joint Commission requirements. Experience Work requires knowledge of security management/operations in a health care setting, generally acquired through four years of related experience including two years of supervisory experience.
