Role Purpose

The Americas HSSEQ Lead will have accountability for developing and delivering integrated health, safety, environmental (HSE) and quality, risk, compliance (QRC) strategies across the Americas Work Dynamics. This role ensures compliance with JLL, client and statutory requirements while driving operational excellence through best-in-class risk management and quality assurance programs.

Reporting Structure

Reports to the Global Head of HSSEQ with matrix reporting to the Americas Workplace Management Lead and Chief Operation Officer Americas Work Dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Integration

  • Work with the Global HSSEQ Leadership Team to integrate the HSE and QRC management systems across the Region

  • Drive technology and innovation-enabled efficiencies across both HSSE and QRC functions

  • Establish effective relationships with Executive Leadership, operational teams, clients and contractors

  • Monitor and report KPIs across business areas using analytical tools for continuous improvement

  • Participate in client transition projects ensuring quality and risk management implementation

  • Provide subject matter expertise for regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions

HSE Leadership

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE risk management strategies across the Americas operations, with a particular focus on the Workplace Management and Property Management sub-business lines

  • Ensure application of JLL HSSE Management System and Standards throughout the region

  • Lead the One Team S.A.F.E.R. Together culture change program and influence stakeholders at all levels

  • Provide guidance to Account and Business Unit HSSE Managers on risk management and control reporting

  • Analyze regional HSSE performance and provide regular reports to Americas Board and leadership teams

  • Investigate accidents, collate reports, and implement prevention recommendations

  • Support procurement in accrediting contractors for HSSE compliance

QRC Leadership

  • Oversee and assure continual compliance to quality and risk standards for product and service delivery

  • Implement and optimize JLL Quality Management Systems (QMS) across all industries and clients

  • Develop and manage internal operational audit programs for effective assessment of operations and subcontractors

  • Create quality, compliance, and audit reports and dashboards for senior executives

  • Support new business development with QRC expertise for RFPs and client transitions

The Candidate

The candidate should have a technical mindset and proven leadership and management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate, and manage key stakeholders and suppliers. S/he should be a strong and confident negotiator with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders at all levels, excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. The candidate should be results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets. An appreciation of and an ability to positively resolve issues arising from different cultures

Experience (essential)

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Safety, or related field

  • Certifications: NEBOSH Diploma Level 6 qualification (or equivalent); Certified Quality Auditor (internal or lead)

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in Quality and HSSE Leadership

  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading geographically dispersed teams and implementing best practices across multi-country operations

  • Systems: Experience with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certified quality management systems implementation

  • Communication: Excellent written and oral English communication skills

  • Travel: Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required

Experience (desirable)

  • Professional Membership: CMIOSH (Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) or national equivalent

  • Advanced Certifications: Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, Quality/Environmental/Security qualifications

  • Industry Experience: Real estate services or regulated facilities experience

  • Languages: Additional language capabilities for Americas region

  • Advanced Degree: Master's degree or equivalent experience

  • Analytical Skills: Has a structured approach to problem solving with a natural inclination for systems thinking, planning strategy and tactics. Experience / qualification in Design Thinking will be of advantage

  • High perseverance and resourcefulness required to keep driving and finding ways to get the required steps done. Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations. Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere. Forward looking with a holistic approach

  • Client orientation: Keen focus on client needs, acutely focused on improving the client experience. Very high credibility in front of senior client audiences.

Estimated compensation for this position:

200,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
