The Position:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join the team.

The Dispatcher plays a critical role in ensuring timely and efficient collection of garbage and recycling materials by coordinating routes, managing drivers, and maintaining communication between field operations and office staff.

Job Duties:

• Schedule and dispatch garbage trucks to residential, commercial, and industrial routes
• Monitor driver locations, progress, and performance throughout the day
• Adjust routes and assignments in response to delays, breakdowns, or emergencies
• Communicate with drivers via phone, radio, or digital dispatch systems
• Maintain accurate records of routes, service requests, and completed jobs
• Collaborate with operations managers to optimize efficiency and reduce fuel/maintenance costs
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to missed pickups or service delays
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

Requirements:

• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and E-Mail, proficient in 10 key, keyboarding and typing skills a must
• Excellent verbal communications skills.
