Security Officer - Access Control Full-Time

As a Security Officer - Access Control Full-Time in York, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional working in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor access control points and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and interaction with individuals in the facility contribute to a secure environment, while your focus on providing outstanding customer service and communication aligns with our core values. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures and following site-specific policies at the manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting emergency response activities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe and report on security-related matters.
• Document observations and report security-related incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Communicate with site personnel, visitors, and contractors to support security-related operations and provide information as needed.
• Operate security-related equipment such as access control systems, radios, and communication devices at the site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR or first aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
