Salary Range: $65,000- $70,000

Position Summary
Reporting into the Director of Web Content Strategy, the Web Content Manager is responsible for shaping and overseeing content planning, development and execution for web properties managed by Strategic Marketing and Communications (SMC) that is user-oriented, valuable, usable, sharable, findable and measurable. As a member of SMC and the Web Collaboration Center (WCC) at Temple, the web content manager plays a central role in maintaining a dynamic and effective online presence for Temple University websites. The web content manager will develop and manage compelling content that elevates the university's reputation and brand awareness with audiences, supports business goals, and drives student enrollment and retention. In addition to maintaining regular website updates, the incumbent will collaborate closely with the Director of Web Content Strategy and WCC colleagues to evolve use of the university's Drupal framework and component library. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree
* At least 3 (three) years of directly related experience in web content, communications, or marketing.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities
* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy of work.
* Able to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
* Able to action content strategies with minimal oversight.
* Ability to analyze data and draw actionable insights to improve performance.
* Experience with project management systems.
* Proven success in writing and editing professional web copy, with the ability to produce crisp, compelling, optimized copy while maintaining broad messaging, persuasiveness and readability.
* Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, and experience aligning with editorial style guides.
* Deep understanding of user needs and behaviors.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Teams and SharePoint.
* Superior organizational skills - must be able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.
Preferred
* Experience in higher education, content strategy and partnering across business units to achieve organizational goals.
Essential Duties
* Create, edit and oversee the publication and continuous optimization of engaging and accurate content across websites including the university's main, Office of the President and Undergraduate Admissions websites, ensuring consistency with branding and messaging guidelines.
* Collaborate with web content manager (main website) and SEO specialist to develop, optimize and evolve content strategy for the main website in Drupal 10.
* Ensures all websites managed by the content team align with university brand and enrollment strategy.
* Guide SMC and WCC campus partners at Temple's schools, colleges and units on web content best practices to improve performance and align with institutional content strategy.
* Contribute to and advocate for continuous improvement and quality assurance best practices for web and Temple's Drupal framework.
* Recommend strategies and new technologies for pushing the boundaries of the Drupal framework and component library to remain competitive, relevant and engaging in the evolving digital landscape.
* Contribute recommendations for how to improve delivery of web content to enhance the user experience and engagement.
* Effectively communicate the Web Collaboration Center principles and explain why they are vital to the success of the university's web properties.
* Acts as proxy for director of web content strategy in division meetings and with campus partners.
* Produce high-quality, actionable and cutting-edge marketing and web content that elevates Temple's reputation.
* Identify, develop and implement strategies for improving workflow efficiencies and delivering work on deadline.
* Stay abreast of trends and innovative practices for web content at peer institutions and in the digital space.
* Conduct regular content audits to assess the quality, effectiveness and alignment of website content with institutional goals, accuracy, relevance and timeliness, and manage lifecycles of specific content.
* Collaborate with SEO specialist to evolve department SEO strategies and improve search engine ranking.
* Coordinate between the web content team and various stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of web content with institutional priorities.
* Partner with UX, research, development, information technology and design teams to prioritize a user-first approach in web, enhancing navigation, usability and overall experience for Temple's audiences.
This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement after successful completion of introductory period (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
