We're seeking a future team member for the role of Project Manager to join our team. This role is located in Pittsubrgh, PA (4 days in office per week). In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead and provide direction and guidance for a wide array of activities associated with project planning and management to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client specifications.
- Manage end-to-end project management activities including reporting, planning, issue and risk tracking, work breakdown structures, scheduling, effort estimation and tracking, and preparation and turnover of project documentation to production.
- Ensure work is performed within program and project management policies, standards, procedures, and frameworks using established tools and techniques.
- Measure and monitor project actuals, forecasts, and budgets, updating plans with accurate, up-to-date information in a timely manner.
- Follow financial standards and processes such as monthly external revenue accruals, software capitalization, procurement, and external payments.
- Report financial information and status to the required executive level through steering committees.
- Secure, lead, motivate, and inspire internal and external resources required to deliver the project.
- Establish project governance including sponsors, approvers, and stakeholders.
- Manage project resources and may have leadership responsibility for project team members.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and internal groups to ensure delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Maintain regular contact with peers within the firm and externally, including regulators and professional organizations.
- Provide advice to internal clients on the implications of business trends, issues, operating environment changes, and firm or business unit strategy.
- Contribute to the achievement of function objectives.
- Modify project activities based upon local regulations and requirements.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10 - 12 years of related program and/or project management experience required.
- Experience with operations, technology, and/or financial services industry is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- No direct reports; may guide other Project Management support staff.
