As a key member of the Security Design team, you will play a pivotal role in defining the security strategy and architecture vision for the organization. Your work will involve providing expert security solutions, architectural guidance, and strategic support across all departments. You will partner closely with engineering teams to design, document, and deploy secure solutions that enhance the organization's security posture globally. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to significant projects, ensuring every security decision considers both direct and indirect impacts, ultimately protecting invaluable data and enabling business growth. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead secure design reviews and oversee the implementation of on-premises and cloud security controls for numerous internal and external IT projects and applications.
* Collaborate with architectural and product leadership to establish robust security requirements and secure deployment patterns for new solutions.
* Define solution intent, operating environments, primary system interfaces, and non-functional requirements to support new features and expand opportunities.
* Review, assess, and provide sign-off on projects, ensuring adherence to security policies, standards, and industry best practices while managing risk.
* Ensure solutions are fit for purpose and use by engaging with stakeholders, evaluating strategic design decisions, and collaborating with vendors/service providers.
* Contribute to the development of best practices, standard templates, and the architectural roadmap for various security domains.
* Translate business, technology, and threat drivers into practical security capabilities across the organization.
* Clarify architectural designs for development teams, providing solution options to overcome any architectural impediments.
* Perform comprehensive design reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements, including security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability, are sufficiently met.
* Liaise with fellow security architects and practitioners to foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. **Must-Have Qualifications:** * A 4-year college/university degree is required.
* Minimum of 10+ years of experience in designing, building, and managing security infrastructure or solutions.
* Demonstrated knowledge across multiple security domains, including experience with customer authentication processes for online and voice channels.
* Detailed understanding of security domains, with the ability to document risks, evaluate remediation options, and present findings to technical and executive leadership.
* Proven experience with security architecture reviews and security controls across Identity and Access Management (IAM), Data Protection, Application Security, Network Security, and Security Analytics.
* Experience delivering secure designs that align with security requirements and reference architectures.
* Exceptional flexibility and adaptability in dynamic situations, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse individuals and groups. **Nice-to-Have Qualifications:** * Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) security.
* Proficiency in the assessment, development, implementation, integration, optimization, and documentation of a comprehensive suite of security technologies and processes within on-premise, public, and private cloud environments.
* Strong knowledge of enterprise security concepts/frameworks and products, as well as secure design principles and best practices.
* Familiarity with industry security frameworks such as NIST 800-53, CIS Benchmarks, ISO 27000 series, and COBIT.
* Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CSSLP are preferred, with other Information Security-oriented certifications being a plus. **About Aquent Talent:**
