Strategic Technology Portfolio The Strategic Technology and Portfolio (STP) Group supports the CTIO and drives technological innovation for the company and advances the technology strategy to support global growth. This includes all Regions and lines of business. We work closely with system integrators to deliver technology changes and respond quickly to customer demands. Position Overview Vantage is looking a highly skilled and experienced Data engineering & BI Development Manager to join our Data & Analytics team. This role involves design, development, and delivery of enterprise data platforms and business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across global data center operations. This role requires deep technical expertise in Microsoft Azure Data Services, proven leadership in data and analytics solution delivery, and hands-on experience building high-performance telemetry, operational, and financial data pipelines. As a key contributor this position will interface regularly with technology leaders and internal groups such Operations and Sales. The ability to influence and foster consensus across teams at all organizational levels is essential to be successful in this role. A good understanding of business processes, challenges and goals is required to provide insightful ideas and creative solutions when faced with issues. The role will suit someone who is forward-thinking and can navigate obstacles well. Essential Job Functions Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and BI developers supporting enterprise analytics across data center operations. Define and execute the data and BI modernization roadmap in alignment with business and operational objectives. Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure scalable, secure, and governed data delivery. Write Data and Reporting solutions using modern SaaS and PaaS cloud services. Perform Power BI platform assessment for secure, scalable, and cost-effective report deployments, identify gaps in existing BI Platform, and recommend changes or improvements. Coach junior developers about best practices. Create and maintains existing databases. Participate in risk assessments for modern technologies and projects. Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Implement data quality, data governance, and performance tuning practices to ensure reliability and scalability. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers. Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and best practice enforcement. Positive, Energetic and a great teammate. Passionate about application and data solutions. Duties Employ secure and scalable framework development processes. Employ secure and scalable data modeling processes. Layout BI and Data Frameworks following the Well Architected Framework. Document security requirements and controls for protecting information, systems, and technology assets. Define and document how the implementation of modern technology impacts the security posture of the current environment. Document and update as necessary all definition and architecture activities. Communicate current and emerging application and data innovations to technical team members. Additional duties as assigned by Management Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 10+ years of experience in data engineering and BI development, including 3+ years in a leadership role. Proven expertise in Azure Data Services: Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks, Logic Apps, and API Management. Strong knowledge of Power BI, DAX, and data modeling for operational and financial reporting. Hands-on experience managing real-time telemetry and IoT data in a data center or industrial environment. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT frameworks. Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git). Experience with Data Modeling - Dimension and Facts tables, snowflake schema. Broad knowledge of internet protocols, firewalls, proxies. Experienced communication and interpersonal skills with ability to multi-task and quickly contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools such as JIRA, Cickup, MS Project. Bilingual in either English/French or English/German would be highly desirable but not required. Functions of this position are to be performed in a company-designated office or field location in-line with the company flexible working policy, minimum of 2 days a week. Travel required is expected to be 10% but may increase over time as the business evolves. Additional Details Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations) This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.
