What the day will look like

The Crisis Management Coordinator conducts a variety of complex risk evaluations as part of the Global Emergency Operations Center (GEOC) team. They direct incident response/emergency preparedness activities in support of the overall risk and security framework of the organization, including:

  • Serve as primary point of contact in the region for any matters reported into GEOC.
  • Manage global incidents, emergency notification systems, escalation notifications and help coordinate follow-up actions across a dispersed team during emergencies and major business interruptions using provided team/enterprise collaboration tools.
  • Participate in 24/7/365 coverage in a follow the sun model to include some nights, weekends and holidays on a rotational basis.
  • Serve as the communications hub for Global Security Services through the coordination of assistance to colleagues and the business over the phone, e-mail and in person to ensure effective and timely resolution when incidents occur.
  • Monitor intelligence activity and supporting intelligence assessments to determine potential risks and threats to the business, physical sites, and/or colleagues.
  • Perform initial incident investigation and assign severity levels used by the Security Operations Team for event investigation and situation management
  • Initiate incident notification, case tracking/management and follow through to closure.
  • Administer and support the delivery of business and employee crisis response and emergency communication activities to include the use of an emergency notification system.
  • Schedule, lead and organize incident management calls as necessary.
  • Assist in the establishment of methodologies to solve analytical problems when raw unfinished data contains information gaps and requires validation.
  • Deliver metrics and measurements supporting program evolution and validation.
  • Provide support and participate in crisis mitigation and after-action reporting.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous review of the GEOC's role within the enterprise-wide risk management framework (policy, standards, SOPs, playbooks, escalation protocols, etc.).
  • Assist the Regional Operations Manager and Global Head to build partnerships with other internal stakeholders and private/public sector entities responsible for threat related operations, threat monitoring, crisis management and response.

When needed, the GEOC notify and advises those who need to know about relevant threats and coordination for the response to those events by facilitating incident communications to colleagues, business leaders, and clients while engaging appropriate Subject Matter Experts required for efficient and effective response.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Experience in an incident, emergency response, or other applicable field
  • Self-motivated and independent operator with; the ability and maturity to make decisions in the absence of immediate direction, prior analytical experience related to security operations, stakeholder management skill and the ability to work calmly and methodically when under high pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate and translate Emergency & Security response practices to Senior Leaders in a corporate environment.
  • Ability to proactively source threat intelligence via various channels (OSINT, Aon tools, etc.) and conduct follow-up intelligence gathering.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $62,900 - $70,000 USD annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
