This is a full time, benefited, exempt PreOp-PACU RN Supervisor position. The shift is typically Monday- Friday with a varied shift. You will work closely with the Manager for staffing coverage. This position is eligible for the Supervisor incentive compensation plan. At Scripps Health, your ambition is empowered and your abilities are appreciated:
As a Supervisor of the PACU you will have the following responsibilities: Supervise approximately 20 direct reports, learn, orient and manage PSE, PREOP, Endoscopy and PACU, coordinate initial meetings for employee onboarding, assist manager with staff evaluations, timecard (UKG) management, assist with the interviewing and hiring of new employees, help with the development of budget, prepare for the move into the brand new tower also located on the Encinitas campus anticipated in May of 2026. In addition, Ensure nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans. Ensures the safe transition of patients thru the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care. #LI-EE1 Qualifications
