MATERIAL PROGRAM MANAGER A, B, C

GENERAL FUNCTION: Manages all aspects of program material management and reporting. Has overall responsibility for program material for assigned program. Reports directly to the Senior Material Program Manager.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on material financial health of assigned program.
  • Responsible for tracking major material for assigned program(s).
  • Supports Production, Engineering, and Program meetings as required.
  • Interfaces with receiving warehouse to validate purchase order requirements vs receipt.
  • Develop and maintain detailed estimate at complete and risk and opportunity analysis for the program.
  • Program lead ensuring material updates are provided to internal and external stakeholders on assigned program.
  • Work cross functionally to ensure material requirements are clearly defined.

  • Ability to analyze data and communicate analysis to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management practices.
  • Ability to present information articulately with an understanding of details.

  • Basic knowledge of procurement practices in a Government Contracting environment.
  • Strong ability to set up, model and track material program financial metrics.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, and external customers.
  • Strategic thinker able to drive success throughout the company.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

Minimum of 2 years Supply Chain experience and/or shipbuilding experience, finance background, basic knowledge of procurement practices or EVM guidelines preferred. Experience in a Federal Government Contracting environment including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) knowledge or any combination of experience and training that results in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Experience in US Naval Shipbuilding is preferred. Business related college degree ideal, but related material management experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.

Level C: 0-2 years' experience required, college degree preferred.

Level B: 2-4 years' experience required, college degree preferred .

Level A: 4+ years' experience required, college degree preferred.
