Job Description: Central State Hospital is looking to fill a full-time Utilization Review Nurse position. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Provides leadership and direction for the Utilization Review function. Assures coordination between utilization review activities and other patient care monitoring activities. Assists in the modification of screening criteria, standards and review methods. Recommends changes in hospital procedures or medical staff practices when indicated by review findings. Conducts utilization review data collection, management, analysis and reporting for the organization and when necessary arranges educational programs to address deficiencies noted by analysis of review findings. REQUIREMENTS: Must have a current, unrestricted nursing license. 1-2 years experience in UR/UM required. At least 1 year of Psych experience preferred.
