Position Summary/ Department Summary:
The Ambulatory Clinic Supervisor II supervises, performs and oversees administrative functions of the unit, including preparing and monitoring unit's operating and capital budgets, maintaining supply and equipment inventory and developing and implementing unit administrative procedures and systems. Selects, trains, supervise and evaluates work of support service personnel. Provides administrative support for Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supports Director and unit operations; maintains confidential records; manages payroll; coordinates meetings and prepares minutes; compiles reports for regulatory reviews and special projects.
  • Hires, trains, and evaluates non-clinical staff; creates schedules; conducts performance reviews; provides coaching and takes corrective action as needed.
  • Ensures a safe, well-maintained environment; coordinates quarterly inspections; oversees maintenance and improvement projects.
  • Assists in developing and monitoring budgets; tracks expenses and payroll; prepares cost projections; recommends cost-saving measures and capital purchases.
  • Evaluates space and resource needs; manages clinician schedules and room utilization; addresses facility issues and recommends efficiency improvements.
  • Orders and monitors medical and office supplies; manages inventory within budget; identifies trends to support cost control.
  • Promotes positive patient interactions; monitors satisfaction and implements service improvements.
  • Leads staff orientation; ensures compliance with hospital policies, information systems, and billing/documentation standards.
  • Participates in leadership initiatives; coordinates with other departments for purchasing, maintenance, and repairs.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • Associate's or equivalent experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience:
  • Four (4) years of related experience required.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
