The Safety Coordinator, under supervision of the Assistant Safety Director/Safety Director, is responsible for ensuring safe working conditions and practices at assigned company job sites through safety training, inspections, quality control and reinforcement of safety laws, regulations and standards.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Responsible for ensuring all company employees are following safety policies and procedures
  • With assistance, conduct Incident Investigations to identify Root Cause/Contributing Factors and Corrective Actions
  • Ensure fall protection devices are installed and used correctly at all times
  • Minimize lost time on injuries by coordinating employee care under direction of LPR HR and communicating updates from doctors/care providers with HR. Coordinate modified duty with field management and
  • Write and file company required reports and maintain all related documents and reports per company policies and procedures
  • Increase Safety knowledge through self-learning and approved training classes
  • Learn LPR specific safety programs such as site safety manual, site specific fall protection plans and requirements, safety procedures
  • Coordinate required site personnel training
  • Conduct site orientations under supervision
  • Meet goals set by company and Assistant Safety Director
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Good public speaking and presentation skills

Required Experience

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • 1 plus years construction field experience, and 1 plus years safety experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license (with driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier) and ability to travel to/from and between projects
