Deals Desk Manager - North America

KARL STORZ North America is seeking a dynamic Deals Desk Manager to help transform our commercial operations and quoting processes. In this role, you'll partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to deliver efficient, accurate, and compliant quotes - all while driving automation, improving pricing workflows, and uncovering data-driven insights that fuel revenue growth.

As a key member of the Deals Desk team, you'll combine operational excellence with analytical curiosity - leveraging data, analytics, and emerging machine learning capabilities to streamline workflows and help our sales teams move faster with precision and confidence.

What You'll Do

  • Lead quoting operations - manage day-to-day requests from Sales, Account Management, and Business Development teams using CRM and quoting tools.
  • Enhance quoting systems - drive the development of the Deals Desk calculator and Salesforce enhancements to improve quote turnaround and sales velocity.
  • Support deal structuring and compliance - collaborate with Legal and Finance to ensure contracts and pricing adhere to company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Drive automation and innovation - explore machine learning and AI-based tools to improve quote accuracy, identify pricing anomalies, and enable self-service quote exceptions.
  • Empower decision-making - develop and deliver operational dashboards and analytics to measure performance, forecast trends, and support leadership decisions.
  • Partner cross-functionally - work with IT, Sales Enablement, and Operations to streamline pricing workflows and enhance data integrity across systems.
  • Train and enable teams - lead onboarding sessions for new sales reps to ensure smooth adoption of Deals Desk processes and systems.
  • Champion continuous improvement - ensure SOPs, compliance tracking, and documentation are always accurate and up to date.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related quantitative field - or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in pricing, operations, or commercial management; 1+ year leading large-scale projects or teams.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, CPQ, SAP, and advanced Excel modeling.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills - experience in data modeling, forecasting, or pricing analytics preferred.
  • Proven project management ability, with a track record of driving process improvements and stakeholder alignment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in pricing or commercial operations, ideally in the medical device industry.
  • Hands-on experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with AI or ML applications in pricing optimization, sales analytics, or workflow automation.
  • Advanced Salesforce and Excel skills, with a passion for leveraging technology to simplify complexity.
