Job Summary
The Marketing Coordinator provides critical administrative support to the Office of Marketing and Communications ( OMC) through the timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks. Within the highly collaborative OMC team, the Coordinator also helps facilitate projects specific to the Office of Admission. Time management, attention to detail, a collaborative disposition, and creativity are all key to success in this position.
Salary Range $20-$22. This is the expected hourly range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on a candidate's experience and education, and departmental budget.
Essential Functions

  • Serves as the office's front desk point of contact, providing customer service to external constituencies and administrative support to OMC staff.
  • Answers the phone, manages correspondence, and maintains office records with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Processes timely payment of invoices and assists with budget management.
  • Assists with editorial and proofing support for the office, informed by the University's brand standards and editorial guidelines.
  • Serves as the primary liaison between the OMC design and strategy team and the Office of Admission.
  • Facilitates timelines and objectives for OMC projects with the Office of Admission.
  • Assists as needed with web-related activities, including but not limited to Wufoo event forms, blog leads, SEO, website events, news stories, homepage listings, directory pages and web support requests.
  • Assists with meeting and presentation preparation and day-of support during Board of Trustee meetings.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • May serve as secondary supervisor for student interns and workers.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Supports the University's mission, vision and values.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • One to two years of related experience.
  • Developing project management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate and build relationships with a wide range of on- and off-campus constituents.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a contributing team member.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications or related field.
  • Familiarity with project management tools.
  • Experience working with analytical tools a plus.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
The essential functions of this position are primarily performed in an indoor setting with limited exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Work is often sedentary in nature and requires remaining in a stationary position for extended periods. Required abilities include speaking and hearing for in-person and virtual communication, using close and distance vision when reading documents or viewing screens, and performing tasks with repetitive fine motor skills. Work may require occasional lifting, bending, carrying, or otherwise moving objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
