Now Hiring Building Maintenance Technician

Location: Acton, MD

Schedule + Pay Details:



  • 2nd Shift | 4 PM - 12:30 AM | $29.70 per hour
  • 3rd Shift | 12 AM - 8:30 AM | $31.05 per hour


Training Hours: 1st Shift

Key Responsibilities:



  • Perform setup, operation, testing, repair, and preventive maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electromechanical systems across multiple technologies.
  • Conduct equipment and safety inspections, generating emergency, corrective, or preventive work orders as needed.
  • Document maintenance activities thoroughly in maintenance databases and communicate issues promptly to team members.
  • Monitor and execute preventive maintenance schedules independently to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with operators, engineers, and corporate representatives to resolve quality, process, or safety issues.
  • Support daily production activities, including adjustments, setups, and changeovers.
  • Create and maintain standard work procedures for equipment setup, operation, and maintenance.
  • Participate in installation, start-up, qualification, and debugging of new automation, including wiring and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize equipment performance and assembly efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules, quality policies, and company procedures at all times.



Education and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience maintaining or repairing manufacturing equipment (Medical, HVAC, Automotive, or related industries).
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.


Preferred Skills and Competencies:



  • Experience using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, feeler gauges).
  • Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining automated equipment and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with automated machines, including design, operation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as crimping, mechanical swaging, laser welding, electronic controls, and precise component assembly.
  • Knowledge of common sensors used in automation: pressure switches, inductive sensors, photoelectric sensors, reed switches, and load cells.
  • Experience with cam-driven linkages, high-speed filming equipment, and discrete component assembly.
