Medical Device Manufacturing Technician

2nd Shift 2:30pm -11:00 pm

The Medical Device Manufacturing Technician is responsible for producing high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell environment. Working under close supervision, this role performs assembly, repair, and testing operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related device assemblies. Work is completed according to standardized procedures and is regularly reviewed for accuracy and compliance.


Key Responsibilities


  • Perform routine assembly, repair, and test operations on medical devices in accordance with established procedures.



  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for cell operations, ensuring all records are complete and traceable.



  • Communicate clearly and professionally with manufacturing team members and leadership, both verbally and in writing.



  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with internal teams and external visitors (e.g., facility tours).



  • Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment.



  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes.



  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.



  • Work collaboratively with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager to monitor individual goals and cell performance metrics.



  • Support divisional initiatives related to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and regulatory standards.




Required Skills & Competencies


  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures and verbal instructions.



  • Ability to use electronic data collection systems and standard manufacturing software.



  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and workflow.



  • Capable of handling and maneuvering small components and device parts.



  • Able to make decisions and exercise judgment with minimal supervision.




Education


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
