DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, you will assist residents in accordance with their individualized care plans. Duties include monitoring and recording vital signs, height, and weight, as well as collecting specimens such as urine, feces, and sputum. You will demonstrate compassion and respect as you assist with basic personal hygiene tasks, including hair, oral, and nail care, as well as bathing and dressing. Other daily tasks include making beds, distributing linens, serving food trays, assisting with feeding, and recording care and services performed. Additionally, you maintain a safe environment for residents and strictly follow infection control procedures and universal health care precautions. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Part-time employment, 8 hours per day, 40 hours biweekly
- Work hours are 1st shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM), 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM), and 3rd shift (11:15 PM to 7:45 AM), rotating days and weekends, with a 30-minute lunch. Working every other weekend will be required.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Hourly rate: In some cases, the hourly rate may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or
- Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.
- This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
