The Nurse Practitioner is a member of a collaborative health care team and functions as a primary health care provider that determines the patient's health and medical status by taking a health history, performing physical exams, initiating screening and diagnostic procedures, providing health maintenance services, pregnancy management, minor trauma, acute illnesses, and stable chronic illness. Full time APP for Neuro Oncology with Carilion Clinic. APP will have a dual service line of rounding inpatient and outpatient clinic seeing Neuro Oncology patients. Prior Oncology Experience preferred. 80% of time will be clinically related, 20% of time will serve as a Service Line Coordinator for new service line of neuro oncology. Day shift; Monday-Friday. No Weekends/No Holidays. What We Require: Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Experience: 0 Licensure/Certification: Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP), DEA license and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required. AHA BLS-HCP certification required. Advanced Life Support certification preferred. Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine. Other: Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers, good written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
