What You'll Do:

Oversee Electrical Construction / Maintenance Operations. Provide Electrical Engineering and Project Management oversight to the TN/KY Areas of the Central Division regarding all electrical projects, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Provide technical interface with vendors regarding equipment, facility designs, and product applications. Provide technical expertise to operations personnel as necessary to ensure that all electrical installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance are completed safely and correctly. Interface with major power providers on issues related to electrical distribution and supply systems. Manage the department budget and prepare AFEs for capital projects. Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve safety, facility efficiency, and/or cost reduction.

Manage and Direct. Manage and direct assigned Area Electricians. Provide leadership and mentoring to all Electrical Maintenance employees (including Apprentices) as well as managing all administrative functions as necessary for the department (including Apprentice Program). Manage the work schedules of electricians, prioritizing work between equipment outages, capital projects, and preventative maintenance at the various operating sites. Assess needs and internal resources available to perform the required tasks and coordinate the use of outside contractors as necessary.

Collaborate. Coordinate with the Engineering and Operations groups on new electrical projects and modifications. Assist internal and external electrical engineers in the planning and design of electrical and automation systems, including establishing equipment selection criteria. Provide internal consulting services to plant management regarding the application and use of automation systems to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Schedule and Assign. Assign duties for installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment, such as motors, generators, switches, control panels, circuit breakers, electric safety devices, resistors, electromagnets, motor drives, transformers, magnetic breaks, starters, etc., in shop facilities and at plant sites.

Prepare Diagrams. Prepare diagrams or sketches, often of a complicated nature, for work to be performed. Recommend design changes as needed.

Troubleshoot. Troubleshoot electrical power issues and prepare and coordinate plans, supplies, and crews to resolve problems. Maintain power supply lines as required.

Devise Electrical Circuits. Devise electrical circuits involving solenoids, switches, resistors, relays, and other "state-of-the-art" equipment.

Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need:

Experience. Must have at a minimum 10 years of electrical experience in the aggregate or related industry, with supervisory experience.

Functional Knowledge. A good working knowledge of PLC systems and programming is preferred. Must have a thorough understanding of electrical and MSHA/OSHA codes, plant and electrical equipment, low and medium voltage power distribution, and electrical equipment used in the plant and other operating equipment. Must be proficient in the use of equipment such as voltmeters, meters, indicators, and test equipment and instruments.

Overnight Travel: Up to 60%
