What You'll Do

As an Emulsion Plant Lead, you will operate the emulsion plant at the direction of the Seniors Emulsion Manager. You will be responsible for leading and controlling the plant operations as established in procedures and guidelines set by the company in the areas of: people, equipment, material and environmental safety, cost performance, asset utilization, customer product and service delivery. Other duties include:

  • Make safety the first consideration in every task

  • Collaborate, coordinate and cooperate with Health and Safety Advisor and Regulatory Advisor

  • Meet obligations of all Safety Tools and Related Processes: Rules to Live By, Stop Work Authority, Pre-use Inspections, Take5, JSA, PTW, Fatal Risk awareness and the CCV process, 4Ps, Collect and review Take 5's of team

  • Operate plant and equipment for safe, proper and reliable operation

  • Operate within safe and standard operating procedures

  • Manage to minimize rework or recycling

  • Run sampling for quality evaluation and confirmation.

  • Meet client demands on time and in full and quality

  • Maintain records re: quality related complaints

  • Operate plant to meet low-cost targets

  • Accurate Reporting of key production, quality and efficiency metrics: Production by Man Hour, Utilization - % of Capacity, Scrap/Rework/Recycle, Quality Complaints

  • Operate in compliance with all regulatory agencies (EPA, California Air Resources Board, CARB, ATF, MSHA, OSHA) and Dyno Nobel standards

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent. Additional directly related work experience may be substituted for some of the educational requirements.

  • 2+ years working experience with progressively increasing professional or technical responsibility, within a relevant industry

  • Experience with safety, environment, quality, maintenance, and training systems

  • Computer literacy

  • Strong understanding and acceptance of responsibility for compliance to relevant OSHA, ATF, DOT and EPA and local regulations
