What We're Looking For: The Provider Practice Coding Consultant role is an opportunity to make a significant impact in the field of medical coding. You will provide essential consulting services and educational support, guiding healthcare professionals on improved coding practices. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders such as clients and healthcare leaders, you'll meet and exceed customer expectations through identifying and proposing solutions, and being a responsible and reliable teammate. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in elevating coding quality, ensuring compliance, and optimizing service outcomes in both hospitals and alternative care settings. Seeking Profee coders with a strong background in(E/M) coding across diverse specialties.Proven experience withE/M coding in both Primary Care and at least one specialty area.Strong understanding of TP, Incident-To, and Split/Shared encounters, including related coding rules and compliance standards (highly preferred);Familiarity with coding edits for diagnoses and modifiers on E/M encounters, radiology, and laboratory services. Surgical coding knowledge is a plus, though not required.A detail-oriented, adaptable coder with a solid understanding of profee coding guidelines who can accurately code a variety of encounters while maintaining compliance and productivity standards.
