JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Working Title: Digital Anatomy-Model Developer The Penn State College of Medicine, Office of Medical Education in Hershey, PA is seeking a part-time laboratory research assistant. The work is specifically related to an ongoing "digital human anatomy" project in which the PI, Dr. Evan Goldman is working with a team of academicians developing a series of digital models of human anatomy. The ideal candidate will have verifiable expertise in anatomical knowledge, cadaver maintenance, and advanced dissections skills. Dissections for this project will typically run multiple hours. Filming sessions will similarly take multiple hours. The candidate will be expected to learn aspects of 3D-graphics software, so should have computer literacy and show competency towards learning new computer programs. Skills in specific 3D-graphics software packages (Blender, Z-brush, Unity) will be beneficial, but training will be provided as needed. Programming and photography skills are preferred though not required and training will be provided as needed. Although publication is possible, the current grant-supported aspect of this project is for development of anatomy models rather than hypothesis-driven research. This position will be in person and will be work anywhere from 5 to 10 hours per week.
