RK&K is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support the HR Department in our Baltimore, MD office. The HR Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This role assists with onboarding, employee records, and general HR inquiries, ensuring efficient and effective HR processes. In addition, this position will assist with data analytics and auditing, helping the HR team collect, review, and interpret HR data to support compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts.

Essential Functions



  • Prepare new hire documentation and facilitate onboarding activities.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS and personnel files.
  • Support compliance efforts by assisting with internal audits, EEO reporting, and policy updates.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze HR-related data to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Prepare reports and summaries of key HR metrics such as turnover, retention, and engagement.
  • Verify data accuracy and ensure consistency across HR systems and files.
  • Assist with organizing HR-related training sessions, employee events, and communications.
  • Respond to employee inquiries or redirect to appropriate HR team members.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, reporting, and scheduling meetings.


Required Skills & Experience



  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of HR support experience, or an Associate's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Experience auditing and managing data for accuracy and consistency.


Preferred Skills & Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Previous HR internship or entry-level HR experience.
  • Familiarity with HR systems, HRIS platforms, and data reporting tools.
  • Basic understanding of data analytics or reporting methods (e.g., Excel, HR metrics).
