Position Summary

.Director, Data Science and Insights is responsible for leading the strategic use of data across the organization to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and business innovation. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role ensures that analytics initiatives align with corporate financial goals and support data-driven decision-making across all business units. Duties & Responsibilities

Business Partnership & Communication of Impact

  • Formulate, communicate, and execute the enterprise data and AI/ML strategy, ensuring alignment with core business objectives and risk management practices
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, actionable manner. Leverage dashboards, reports, and predictive models to support data-driven decision making.

Strategic Analytics, Modeling & Insights:

  • Design, develop implement and maintain advanced mathematical and statistical models
  • Apply AI and machine learning techniques to drive revenue, efficiency and process improvements across the organization
  • Lead the development of automated reporting and analytics solutions to support strategic initiatives.

Data Management, Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure analytics practices comply with regulatory requirements and internal data governance policies.
  • Ensure high-quality data sourcing, cleansing, and integration from multiple systems.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across reporting platforms.
  • Promote data governance best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Team and Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, mentor and develop a strong team of data analysts, fostering a collaborative, innovative and client-centric culture.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple initiatives with competing deadlines while communicating progress to senior leadership and key business partners.

Technology & Tools

  • Guide the selection and implementation of analytics tools and platforms.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies in data science, artificial intelligence and banking analytics.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field (required).
  • Master's degree or PhD with a focus in a quantitative discipline (preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in data science and analytics, preferably within the banking or financial services industry, with at least 2-3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proficiency in data visualization (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) and analytics tools (e.g. SQL, Python, R).
  • Strong understanding of banking products, financial statements, regulatory environment, bank KPIs.

Benefits and Compensation

Salary offered is based on factors, including but not limited to, the job duties, required qualifications and relevant experience, and local market trends. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance.

(Base Pay Range: $148,000 - $225,000/year)
