The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Provides patient services, using diagnostic, portable and fluoroscopic equipment. The technologist is competent in the production of quality images to be used by physicians for patient diagnosis and treatment Supervises and performs those duties involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation or other forms of energy. Scheduling of technologists. Supervises needed repairs and work progress within areas of designated responsibility. Interacts with nursing units, other ancillary areas for efficient, effective patient care

Qualification

Required:

  • Licensed by the State of New Jersey as a Radiologic Technologist or Nuclear Medicine technologist.
  • Preferred Registered by the ARRT of Radiological Technologists.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in radiology.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in supervisory position. Successful completion of all required orientation programs.

Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):

  • Full-Time
  • Evenings

  • Utilizes a variety of feedback to improve processes and services to meet and exceed customer needs.
  • Uses sound employee relations practices and maintains high levels of visibility and accessibility.
  • Follows though on all customer requests and inquiries in a timely fashion.
  • Utilizes principles of CQI in all work situations.
  • Seeks feedback and recommendations from others to improve the quality, processes and services.
  • Contributes to improving quality services and productivity (takes the initiative to continually evaluate one's work, report problems, suggest solutions and try new ideas)
  • Effectively allocates and schedules resources.
  • Able to project and appropriately staff the unit/department to effectively function to demand.
  • Utilizes resources, both labor and non-labor to maximize efficiency and quality.
  • Adheres to budgetary guidelines and targets-proactively manages budget variances and causes.
  • Assesses the number and level of personnel needed to provide quality service and adjusts staffing and assignments on a daily basis if needed assuring a high degree of customer service including scheduling time, appointment wait time, registration wait time and other areas of throughput as needed.
  • Utilizes resources (labor and supplies) to maximize efficiency and quality.
  • Contributes to area productivity and efficient department operation.
  • Makes suggestions of ways to improve operating methods and procedures.
  • Utilizes assigned personnel to maximize productivity and to ensure best throughput.
  • Provides assistance to the administrative director by recommending changes in department organization, planning programs and operating standards based on assessed needs of the department.
