The 1st Line Risk and Control Organization (1RCO) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern for a three-month project dedicated exclusively to IT Risk management. This internship provides hands-on exposure to IT Risk principles, control frameworks for technology environments, and the ongoing challenges of issues management in a financial services context. Interns will learn to navigate the lifecycle of IT risks and controls while developing practical solutions for process automation using SharePoint or similar technologies. Key Responsibilities * Manual Data Collection: Gather, review, and consolidate IT Risk status updates from various technology stakeholders and sources within the organization as a first step toward understanding the flow of information in IT risk management. * Process Documentation: Analyze current methods for collecting IT Risk status updates, map workflows, and identify pain points. Document on how IT risk statements are captured and communicated as part of the status update process. * Automation Solution Development: Design and build an automated process for IT Risk status updates leveraging SharePoint or similar platforms, with guidance from the 1RCO team. Integrate IT risk management concepts, such as embedding technology controls and ensuring traceability of updates for sustainability in ongoing IT issues management. * Testing and Implementation: Pilot the automated solution, gather feedback from end users, and refine the process for reliability and usability. Ensure the solution addresses IT risks and supports sustainable management of identified technology issues. * Training and Handover: Create user guides and provide basic training to technology team members on the new automated process, emphasizing the importance of accurate IT risk statement reporting and control development. * Reporting: Present progress updates, challenges, and results to 1RCO management and stakeholders, including insights on communicating IT risks, developing technology controls, and managing technology issues for long-term sustainability.
