The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The VIBE Research Lab is currently hiring for a Variable Hours officer to work on qualitative research for APPLE and POEM, two mixed-methods research projects funded by the NIH and led by Dr. Teresa Janevic in the Department of Epidemiology, Mailman SPH. These projects examine how policy, as well as social and environmental factors, influence maternal health and well-being.

Responsibilities



  • Conduct qualitative research (60%)
  • Analyze qualitative data (30%)
  • Other duties as assigned (10%)


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree


Preferred Qualifications





    • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
    • Must have previous experience conducting qualitative research and a very strong academic profile
    • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality


    • Master's degree in public health, health sciences, or a closely related field
    • Working toward a doctorate in medical or social sciences, or a relevant area/topical studies.
    • Capacity to work some evenings during the months of data collection.
    • Interest in public health, maternal health, or health equity
