Welder (Med - Heavy Plate)

Welder-Medium and Heavy Plate Welding

* Weld to AWS, ASME or customer specification.

* Weld Types: GMAW, FCAW, GTAW and SAW (submerged arc welding)

* Ability to weld medium and heavy-duty plate and other structures

* Select and install proper welding wires and gas mixtures

* Experience with 3/32 flux core submerge arc preferred

* Knowledge of various welding procedures

* Must be able to read drawings and must know various weld symbols

* Ability to work with minimal supervision

* Experience with operating cranes and forklifts

* Ability to work with others

Education:

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Technical education in welding preferred
