Job Details:

Purchasing Manager Requirements:

* This candidate should hold a bachelor's degree and have at least 7 years of experience in Purchasing and Supply Chain in manufacturing.

* This candidate needs to create purchasing orders, for forecasting, manage inventory, and maintain a win-win relationship with vendors.

* Tracking inventory is done through Excel, purchasing is tracked through QuickBooks. Currently company does not have an ERP system in-place.

* This candidate must also work with the engineering team to develop a bill of materials (workbooks) based on PDF/Solid drawings.

* This individual will be responsible for creating a drawing book to release manufacturing for build.

* Purchasing will work very closely with Engineering, Manufacturing & Shipping/Receiving.

* Must have a professional approach to vendors and sales support.

* Responsible for record keeping and having a variety of items, monitoring vendor metrics and updating company records, and ensuring optimal inventory levels.

Experience should include:

* This candidate must understand at many times he/she will wear many hats.

* Negotiating terms and pricing with vendors utilizing analysis of trends

* Purchasing and maintaining inventory for spare parts, Customer owned inventory, and OEM manufacturing.

* Procuring raw materials, components, and indirect services from international and domestic vendors

* Maintain purchase orders, order confirmations, and expedite orders weekly.

* Including entering orders and processing them and communicating via phone and email

* Experience using Excel, Word, QuickBooks, and SolidWorks experience a plus.

* Must have the ability to read & understand engineering drawings. (Drawings consist of light and heavy fabrications and machining) Having a background in this area will be a big help.

* Work well with other team members.

* Understand the confidentiality of our products & customers.

* The understanding in creating workbooks that can change within the completion of a job due to component availability or changes to add new technology within the process. If and when a change takes place you must update the drawing books within the Z-Drive.
