MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Must possess current license as required by state board where services will be provided:
WV: Pharmacist license through the West Virginia State Board of Pharmacy.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:

1. Two (2) years' experience in a retail pharmacy setting.

1. Committed to implementing and providing high standards of customer service to all patients allowing them to feel important and appreciated.

2. Develops and maintains professional relationships with other health care professionals including physicians and nurses.

3. Reviews and interprets the prescriber's order for clarity, rationality, dosage, and form.

4. Checks for potential drug-drug, drug-food, drug-disease, and drug-age interactions.

5. Communicates with the prescriber when questions arise pertaining to the prescription (non-formulary medications, allergies, serious interactions, duplication).

6. Collaborates with other health care professionals to plan, monitor, review, and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of drug regimens.

7. Follows state and federal laws.

8. Provides education information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper storage of medications to patients according to state and federal laws.

9. Orders and purchases medications and supplies.

10. Participates in the monthly schedule II narcotic audits and yearly physical inventory process.

11. Supervises the work of pharmacy technicians, technician trainees, and interns.

12. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, assumes managerial responsibilities.

13. Demonstrates flexibility in response to changes in work volume, emergencies, staffing, or scheduling changes.

1. Ability to wear latex or vinyl gloves.

2. Hearing within normal ranges is required.

3. Visual acuity must be unimpaired.

4. Possess manual dexterity for operating equipment.

5. Capable of standing static for long periods of time.

6. Ability to perform frequent stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, lifting, twisting, and grasping.

7. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

8. Must be able to push or pull up to 300 pounds.
