Position Summary:
The
person who fills this position will work with me on two primary goals:
supporting my research agenda, specifically in the area of teaching and
learning mathematical proof and supporting my research with respect to mathematics
education technology support.

Essential Functions:
-Support
a mathematics education researcher technically, analytically, and as a
thought partner.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
-Post-graduate
degree in Mathematics Education.
-Mastery
of the literature on proof in geometry.
-Experience
with preparing manuscripts for publication, including APA citation style.
-Working
knowledge of technology such as Transana, Overleaf, Google Drive, Dropbox,
Endnote, and Echo software for Livescribe Smartpens.
-At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

Preferred Qualifications:
-The
qualified candidate will ideally possess excellent organizational skills and
pay attention to detail. They will have access to a university library and
know how to complete a literature review.

Salary Information:
In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the hourly rate for this position is $50.00 (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
