We invite you to join our team as a Warehouse Technician, where your contributions will be vital to the efficient functioning of our warehouse activities. As a Warehouse Technician, you will report directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and operate in varied warehouse settings, including indoor shop areas as well as outdoor environments exposed to all weather conditions. A strong commitment to workplace safety is paramount, and you will consistently apply safe work practices to ensure a secure environment for all team members.

  • Execute safe unloading and loading of freight trucks, ensuring the protection of goods and personnel.
  • Inspect all incoming freight meticulously for any signs of damage, document issues with photographs, note discrepancies on bills of lading, and initiate timely corrective measures to address any irregularities.
  • Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments, promptly identifying and rectifying any discrepancies to maintain operational excellence.
  • Understand and correctly identify freight weights and handling limits to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Accurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system to maintain up-to-date inventory records and support overall supply chain accuracy.
  • Label items with correct part numbers and systematically locate them within the warehouse, ensuring precise tracking and easy retrieval.
  • Assemble shipping containers securely and in accordance with company standards to guarantee safe transportation and delivery of goods.
  • Manage internal part exports precisely, ensuring logistics flows smoothly within various departments and locations.
  • Conduct regular inventory cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy and help prevent shortages or excesses, supporting proactive inventory management.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, providing necessary support outside regular working hours when operational demands arise.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the warehouse, fostering a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Diligently organize warehouse storage by routinely reviewing stock locations and effectively managing shelf space for optimal use.
  • Ensure that all stock locations are correctly identified and maintained in the computer system to facilitate rapid and error-free order fulfillment.
  • Be prepared to take on additional responsibilities as assigned, which may include maintaining the warehouse premises and outdoor areas, such as lawn mowing, weed removal, and parking lot cleaning, demonstrating versatility and a team-oriented mindset.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Preferably possess between 3 months to 12 months of relevant experience in warehouse or logistics roles, demonstrating foundational knowledge of supply chain operations.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and MS Outlook to manage inventory records, communicate effectively, and support daily tasks.
  • Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is advantageous, aiding in efficient warehouse management and data accuracy.
  • Strong basic arithmetic skills are essential to perform measurements, calculations, and verify inventory data accurately.
  • A solid understanding of technical documents including formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams, and adjustable measuring instruments, is desirable to interpret and utilize information correctly.
  • A flexible approach to scheduling, open to varying shift hours and participation in on-call rotations to meet the evolving needs of warehouse operations.
