Advantage Technical is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to support a leading Combat Mission Systems program. Based in Huntsville, AL, you'll work hands-on with electronics suppliers to ensure quality production of PCBAs/CCAs and drive improvements for Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) in ground combat vehicles.
Ideal for engineers with strong manufacturing and quality assurance experience.

Pay Rate: Up to $54.45/hr

Responsibilities:



  • Provide on-site engineering support at supplier facilities for the manufacture of PCBAs/CCAs and LRU enclosures
  • Investigate defects, analyze trends, and lead root cause and corrective action initiatives
  • Conduct supplier quality reviews and implement process improvements to meet Zero Defect goals
  • Drive compliance with IPC standards (IPC-A-600, J-STD-001, etc.) and MIL specifications
  • Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings and cross-functional team collaboration
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers on technical and quality expectations



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Hands-on PCBA/CCA design and manufacturing experience
  • Strong knowledge of IPC-A-600, J-STD-001; familiarity with IPC-A-610, A-620, MIL-PRF standards
  • Skilled in root cause analysis and CAPA
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and ensure compliance
  • Proficient in MS Office and engineering tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Able to work independently and on-site with suppliers (~10% travel)
  • Preferred: Experience in aerospace/defense, power distribution (28Vdc/610Vdc), servo systems, EMI/EMC, AS9100/AS9145 compliance, IPC-A-600 certification
