Position Overview

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer, you will lead a team of Full Stack, QA and DevOps engineers improving and maintaining our flagship analytics platform, TruNavigator MAX. You will deeply consider platform architecture, integrate new technologies, and lead development teams. You will participate in the entire development life cycle from user meetings, planning sessions, system design, code reviews, stand-ups, development, and maintenance.

This Senior Lead Software Engineer will be spend half of their time developing and half of their time on managerial tasks. We are seeking candidates that can be available hybrid in our headquarter offices in Addison, Texas at least two days per week.

As a member of Lone Star's Technology Team, you will pave the way for the next generation of predictive analysis solutions and services to our clients and internal teams.

This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. Citizens. In addition, applicants who accept a conditional offer of employment may be subject to government security investigation(s) and must meet eligibility for access to classified information.



This position requires the ability to fulfill duties and responsibilities such as:

* Drive the implementation of new features, services, and systems to completion in an existing cloud platform

* Work with senior leadership, customers, and partners to define the technical roadmap for the company

* Guide the growth of the development team and provide mentorship and identify training opportunities for developers

* Direct the implementation of agile software processes such as sprint planning, code reviews, and automated continuous integration and deployment

* Shift across customers, platforms, and technologies as required



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Must be an excellent communicator and be able to work in a team environment
  • Experience with full stack software development (Python Django, React)
  • Experience with cloud development and architecture (Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with maintaining microservice architectures
  • Experience with automated build and deployment processes
  • Experience as a technical lead / engineering manager (or desire to grow in this area)
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.


Additional Desirable Qualities


  • Working on distributed systems at scale
  • Statistics, mathematical modeling, analytics, data science experience
  • Commercial and government cybersecurity standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP)
  • System monitoring and reporting tools
  • Experience in our customer's markets (aerospace & defense, logistics, manufacturing)
