The successful candidate:

Schedule: Mon - Thurs 8:30am - 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support smooth patient flow through the clinic by performing both clinical and administrative tasks.

  • Provide delegated patient care for an assigned population under direct supervision of clinical leadership (Practice Manager, Director, Medical Oncologist, NP, or PA).

  • Assist clinicians in delivering medical care using specialized knowledge and skills.

  • Perform clinical duties such as taking vitals, preparing patients for exams, and documenting care.

  • Handle administrative tasks including:

    • Triaging phone calls

    • Coordinating documents and patient information

    • Ordering and maintaining medical supplies

    • Providing clerical support to patients, caregivers, physicians, and care teams

  • Ensure all responsibilities are carried out in accordance with established policies and procedures.

  • Report to and be evaluated by the Practice Manager and/or Director.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Completion of one of the following:

    • An approved Medical Assistant training program

    • An unapproved program plus certification through AAMA, AMT, or another recognized certifying body

    • A U.S. Armed Forces medical services training program

    • A relevant and applicable clinical program

Certifications:

  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA)

  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
