Data Product Manager Location: REMOTE Annual Compensation: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 (DOE) The Data Product Manager leads the definition, development, and lifecycle management of high-quality, reusable data products that drive value across business domains and the enterprise. Serving as a strategic link between business and technical teams, this role ensures data products are discoverable, well-governed, and interoperable from ideation through retirement. You will oversee the creation and stewardship of enterprise reference data, including hospitals, helipads, airports, air ambulance bases, customers, health insurance plans, and payors. The ideal candidate brings proven expertise in research, data management, and governance, along with exceptional organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities: Strategic Planning & Coordination (20%)
- Lead the development and management of GMR's reference data processes, including stewardship, versioning, and golden record creation, in alignment with data lake and analytics strategies.
- Define data quality metrics, standards, and SLAs.
- Address data duplication, inconsistency, and fragmentation; develop and enforce data governance policies and operating models.
- Collaborate with IT and security to standardize data access controls and support metadata management tool implementation (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Unity Catalog).
- Assess data maturity, identify gaps, and implement improvements to ensure trusted, accessible, and well-managed data products.
Reference Data Research & Maintenance (60%)
- Build and maintain comprehensive reference data for hospitals, customer profiles, transportation providers, airports, and fuel depots to support downstream workflows such as customer experience personalization and automation of eligibility and authorization processes.
- Conduct ongoing research to maintain a current database of all U.S. air ambulance bases, including key operational details.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for data research, maintenance, and change management to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Leverage enterprise data hubs and services for data storage, cataloging, maintenance, and sharing across key applications.
Data Integration & Synchronization (10%)
- Partner with cross-functional teams-including Ambulance Communications, Clinical Informatics, Revenue Cycle, and IT Data Teams-to synchronize reference data across critical systems.
Data Analysis & Reporting (10%)
- Develop reports and visualizations for reference data, market analysis, and air/ground decision-making.
- Analyze data to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
Qualifications: Education & Industry Experience
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, Computer Science, Information Systems, GIS, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years in data management roles, including database administration, data governance, master data management, or enterprise data strategy
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and data warehouse technologies, with a strong ability to analyze and validate data quality and lineage
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Domo)
- Skilled in research, data collection, maintenance, and spatial analysis (GIS strongly preferred)
- Background in healthcare, air and ground medical transport, or dispatch environments
- Proven experience developing data products, managing master data, and working with metadata tools and data cataloging platforms
- Proficient in maintaining reference databases and spreadsheets
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks, Snowflake) and governance tools (e.g., Purview, Unity Catalog, Collibra) is a plus
