In the role of Bridge CAD/BIM Specialist, we'll count on you to:
- Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and sketches for conventional concrete and steel bridges, retaining walls, and miscellaneous structures using computer-aided design software
- Develop details for concrete and steel bridges, which may include prestressed concrete, cast-in-place concrete, and steel plate girder.
- Typical projects will be for highway projects
- Demonstrate ability to work independently with direction from supervisor and engineers
- Attention to detail is highly desirable
- Support Development of 3D Bridge Models
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in engineering technology Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office Experience in bridge structural drafting Experience working with BrIM, OBM, ORD or other 3D CAD software Experience and knowledge of TxDOT CAD Standards, knowledge and experience of other DOT Standards is a plus. Preference given to local candidates
Required Qualifications
- Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure
- Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential
- Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
