Responsibilities

The OHH Patient Access Learning Strategy Lead will oversee the design, implementation, and continuous evolution of learning and development initiatives for Patient Access departments across the organization. This senior role is responsible for shaping the overall education strategy to drive workforce excellence, improve key performance metrics, and ensure staff are equipped with the skills necessary to deliver an exceptional patient experience. The Lead will supervise a Patient Access Analyst, oversee needs assessments, and partner with operational leadership to align education efforts with strategic organizational goals.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Patient Access education and professional development strategy that supports departmental and organizational priorities.
  • Oversee onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring a consistent and high-quality introduction to Patient Access workflows, policies, and systems.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of continuing education programs based on operational trends, regulatory requirements, system updates, and performance improvement needs.
  • Supervise the Patient Access Analyst in gathering and interpreting operational data to identify education opportunities.
  • Conduct workforce assessments and gap analyses to proactively identify training and development needs.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Education, or related field preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years of leadership or senior-level experience in Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, or healthcare training (required).

Working Knowledge: Medical terminology and medical insurance knowledge preferred. Knowledge of Epic scheduling, pre-cert/authorizations, and registration systems preferred. Must be proficient on a personal computer and have experience with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
