About the Position The Learning and Development Facilitator will focus on facilitating engaging classes, identifying areas of improvement and opportunities for the learner, evaluating skills and attending to the learner's challenges, organizing training materials and scheduling training sessions, and submitting timely reports to management on progress. Additionally, the L&D Facilitator will work with the Instructional Designer to create live facilitated courses (virtual and in-person), online learning modules, instructor-led training guides, and supporting materials following an instructional design process. This role will use strong interpersonal, written, and multimedia communication skills to bring together text, images, video and audio to communicate and educate COSC employees and other stakeholders. We Require
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, education or a related field
- One year of professional training experience
- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered in substitution for the minimum qualifications

Job Contributions
- Develops materials for new live and virtual training programs; formulates teaching outline and determines instructional method; reviews, evaluates, and modifies existing and proposed programs, and recommends appropriate changes if necessary
- Conducts various educational training programs in a classroom setting, online, and/or in a computer lab using appropriate technology at multiple County locations
- Consults with management, supervisors, and employees on needs analyses to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, strategic plans, and technologies and prepares necessary training curriculum
- Assists with training program activities, such as scheduling instructors, preparing the training catalog, or accrediting classes according to mandated guidelines
- Directs compliance with COJET training program guidelines established by the Administrative Order of the Supreme Court
- Assists with operational functions of the training and staff development program
- Remains current on developments in training and instructional methodologies, including technology enhancements and online or media-based delivery approaches
- Assists in the production of video, multimedia, computer-based, and online training products; recommends updates when necessary
- Answers customer inquiries promptly via telephone, e-mail, or in person; uses the training database and printed guidelines as tools to answer questions concerning training records, class information, training requirements, and other matters related to the training program
- Performs other duties as assigned
Working Conditions
- Work requires lifting 50 pounds floor to the waist, and carrying a distance of 200 feet
- Work requires travel to and from job-related locations during the course of a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding the use of County vehicles and/or private vehicles used on County business
