Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a reliable and organized professional to lead our SEEPEX Supply Chain team in Enon, OH. This role will be responsible for identifying, defining, and leading Supply Chain initiatives which improve operational performance, increase customer satisfaction, and drive profitability through effective cost management. This individual will engage with team members at both a local, regional, and global level to drive business solutions and leverage Company best practices in a manufacturing facility. A Supply Chain Manager leads a diverse team to achieve operational targets by ensuring a continuous supply of materials to the factory, driving Inventory accuracy, improving material planning effectiveness, reducing net working capital, and strategically sourcing materials to achieve cost and quality targets, while adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is consistent, analytical, a great communicator, and can meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business leaders and their teams to achieve operational objectives in cost, quality, delivery, and inventory accuracy and turnover.
- Deploy improvements and Best Practices in the areas of Procurement, Inventory Management, Strategic sourcing, logistics, trade compliance, and Warehouse Management.
- Hands-on support of daily supply chain operations by removing barriers to execution, solving problems, and supporting team members or other functional departments with urgent needs.
- Develop supply chain and daily operational practices that support a make to order, low volume, high mix environment.
- Identify, prioritize, and execute key opportunities for sourcing cost reductions or mitigation of tariffs.
- Prepare data and action plans to support the annual Operating Budget plan
- Develop and challenge employee resources to improve performance through systems utilization, process improvement, and building skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to expand product knowledge. High expectation to know the product.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors' degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent, required
- 5+ years' experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Continuous Improvement with proven track record
- 5+ years' experience in supervisory roles, and experience managing teams
Preference:
- Strong knowledge of relevant Supply Chain best practices, multi-step strategic sourcing processes and/or category management strategies
- Demonstrated success working with suppliers in all parts of the world
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Product Quality
- Experience in managing and successfully completing complex and expansive projects
- Ability to influence and collaborate with others
- Experience with lean supply chain methodologies such as Kanban, Consignment, and Vendor Managed Inventory programs
- Strong problem-solving skills: the ability to ask the right questions, help frame logical conclusions and arrive at effective solutions
- Demonstrated time management skills, problem solving, strategic thinking, negotiation, and adaptability
- Proficient computer knowledge: Office 365, SAP (or equivalent ERP)
