Organization: Integrated Supply Chain - Strategic Sourcing & Workplace Services
Position: Carpenter Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION: The Carpenter, reporting to Facilities Services Lead, performs a range of carpentry tasks including wood and steel framing, trim and finish work, shipping container construction, door and hardware replacement and repair, as well as drywall repair. The role requires familiarity with general commercial construction and basic knowledge of facilities maintenance areas such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, windows, roofing, and flooring. This position is involved in the upkeep of the Milwaukee Global Headquarters campus. Schedule: 6am-2:30pm Mon-Friday ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: General Carpentry & Construction
- Perform commercial carpentry and construction-related tasks
- Proficient in rough and finish carpentry, including casework, hardware, ceilings, flooring, drywall, and door hardware
- Experience in flooring installation, general construction, and repairs
- Paint, mud, tape, and complete finish work as needed
- Assist with fitting and installing window frames, doors, door frames, hardware, and trim
- Lay out flooring and drywall to ensure correct alignment and compatibility
- Erect scaffolding and ladders for above-ground structures
- Knowledge of commercial construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment
- Familiarity with building products, emerging technologies, and related updates
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with basic hand and power tools for minor repairs
- Ability to measure, shape, and cut materials (wood, plastic, fiberglass)
- Capable of lifting and handling items up to 60 pounds
- Operate aerial lifts and industrial fork trucks
- Knowledge of English and metric screws, nuts, bolts, fasteners, wrenches, and sockets
Project Management & Communication
- Provide project management support as needed
- Ability to communicate job status or issues to Facilities Services, Lead, or Facilities Management
- Receive and understand directives from Facility leadership
- Collaborate with designers and facility professionals
- Experience instructing and directing other construction trade helpers
- Respond to inquiries to support individual, team, and company objectives
Planning & Documentation
- Plan and prepare for assignments, ensuring all necessary tools are available
- Take measurements and calculate required material quantities
- Read and interpret blueprints, building specifications, drawings, and technical documents
- Complete and submit required documentation, including time reporting, expense reports, job tickets, delivery tickets, change orders, issue tickets, and punch list reports
- Track time spent using the CAFM (work ticketing system)
Compliance & Safety
- Follow and comply with established safety procedures, work rules, and regulations
- Maintain relevant training and certifications as applicable
- Awareness of safety protocols and regulatory standards
- Other Responsibilities
- Prioritize and manage work schedule independently
- Availability during off-hours for special projects when required
- Engage in process improvement initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent in some aspect of carpentry
- Equivalent educational experience may be considered
- Must possess Wisconsin Journeyman Carpenter license
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 6 years of commercial carpentry experience
- Previous experience working with hand and power tools
