Position: Application Specialist

Department: Life Operations

Reporting to: Life Operations Manager

Location: Topeka, KS - Onsite


Overview:

As an Application Specialist, you are responsible for providing outstanding customer service to all our Advisors' clients when it comes to life insurance applications. From entering data into our system, following up with clients for completion of application packets, and the distribution/ordering of documents, exams, and APS orders, Applications Specialists have a lot to complete in a timely manner. If you are someone who loves to work in a fast-paced environment, this position could be the perfect fit for you.


What you'll do:

* Conduct phone interviews with applicants directly to complete their Life Insurance Application

* Effectively communicate with advisors' offices on the status of their pending business

* Enter information accurately into application packets to prepare for client signatures

* Send/Receive DocuSign items for processing

* Update/Notate all systems used to track business

* Manage follow-ups daily on all pending tickets

* Field inbound calls/emails from applicants regarding any updates or questions

* Work with the licensing team to ensure the producer is licensed with the appropriate insurance company

* Order paramedical exams

* Assist in training new hires coming into the life department

* Additional duties and responsibilities as required by management


Experience you'll bring:

* Life and Health License (Required to obtain their Life and Health license within 30 days of accepting the position.)

* Confident, professional, and articulate in written and verbal communication; ability to build a rapport with all personality types

* Time management with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

* Detail-oriented, focused on quality in all aspects of your work

* Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook

* Strong organizational skills: capacity to manage heavy workload while navigating a variety of competing, ever-changing priorities

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

* Prior experience related to life insurance and/or medical background
